For znew.in, I think the change is overkill. Nobody uses znew any
more; it's an obsolete utility. There is no reason to worry about a
denial of service attack against it, which is all that this patch
purports to defend against. So the change is not likely to
fix anything, and it might introduce a bug.

Sorry, I don't see the bug that that patch fixes.
