Perhaps they are a means to help find and share content in socially driven web environments. This brings the idea of a practical philosophy of learning into question - the key words being into question.
In a mythological sense, we are calling down the spirit of learning from the mountain and invite consideration of learning through mystery. However, for some challenging the education system leads directly to questioning what they want to do with their life. The learning required centres on finding equilibrium between reactive medical intervention and proactive development of health. The word spirit comes to us via the Latin word spiritus meaning breath. Here is what it looks like.
The idea of spirit is a means to expand our sense perception and intuitive awareness of life.
These moments, to my thinking, are the most powerful moments in learning.
An idea like the Human Spirit evokes the connectedness of all life and forms the basis for considering the essential unity of all things.
Too often I see the idea of learning discussed as if it were the exclusive domain of educationalists or corporate idealists.
Yesterday I read a wonderful entry by Stephen Downes that linked me to yet another fascinating entry by Will Richardson. When we invoke learning we summon ourselves into action or make an attempt to bring something new to us into existence. Of course, this rough list is just brainstorming and new questions are welcome.

The result is that our medical concept of health is often experience as a reaction to disease. At first glance this may seem like a rather flimsy question. Listed below are a series of questions that I have initially created to begin thinking along these lines. The learning required centres on finding equilibrium between reactive medical intervention and proactive development of health. He suggests that we face a critical issue when it comes to our health and well being, that is, we have learned a lot about how to treat illness but not much about how to create health. It is currently in draft form and the project committee is interested in feedback.
