indeed. It is true that GNUstep hides a lot of portability issues, so once you get the core libraries to work, a decently written app is easy. But TalkSoup has its own framework.
It speaks in favour of HURD gettin more POSIX compatible!If it was now just a little more stable in startup/shutdown and filesystem... and a bit less memory hungry during installation, it would be easier to enjoy.
