Space or no space after __attribute__ ? (Behavior change in newer versions of indent) |

Hi all,
Indent 2.2.12 appears to disagree with the previous versions about the presence
or absence of space after the β__attribute__β
In VPP (https://wiki.fd.io/view/VPP) we use 2x run of indent as a means of
consistent code formatting before it can be committed
(https://git.fd.io/vpp/tree/build-root/scripts/checkstyle.sh)
Apparently while other bugfixes are very welcome, this behavior in question
causes enough pain to require big change across the entire codebase as per
https://gerrit.fd.io/r/#/c/vpp/+/22937/ to continue working across old/new
indent versions..
Questions:
1) is the βnewβ behavior or the βoldβ behavior correct ?
2) assuming it is simple enough to make indent behave like the βoldβ behavior -
would the esteemed folks on this list be open to entertaining including a knob
to keep the βoldβ behavior in that regard ?
Thank you very much!
