Hello,
I use some ivr applications. They use audio prompts which are placed on
tftp server and loaded in case of need. everything works fine except one
thing: sometimes audio prompts can't be loaded untic tftp server is
restarted. TFTP is under RedHat 6.2. I have tries to upgrade tftp server
but I get the same result. So maybe this isn't server's problem and
cisco's tftp client cause this problem? Is this known problem or I am
experiencing something unusual? any ideas are widely welcome.
Thanks in advance

I have had similar experiences with TFTP sessions from AS5300s to a TFTP
server on Redhat 6.2. After several sessions (indeterminate number) the
server stops responding. Its still running and sees the requests coming
in, just won't start another session. As a workaround I just added a
CRON job that restarts the server every hour or two. I don't see this
happening on my Solaris servers though.

I've also seen this on redhat boxes when doing bulk IOS updates, and also
on our cable network (Cables modems use TFTP for config). No idea what the
solution is other than kicking it regularly.
netstat -uanp will probably show a banked up input queue on that port.

Question 1:
What do you think about all this?
Question 2:
I have upgraded inetutils from version 1.3.2 to 1.4.1 yesterday and it
seems to work fine. have you corrected the specified problems?
Thanks beforehand,
