Hello and thanks in advance for taking the time to read this e-mail. I
have been programming for a couple of years now and am therefore aware
of the fact that I am still a newby. However I recently read the
description of one of the posts that are part of the "GNU Internet
Utilities" proyect, namely the one that reads:
Network programmers knowing Cwhich was posted on Monday 06/23/08 at 14:07 UTC.
Overall
I have done a healthy amount of programming in C and C++, and
Networking is a topic that is defintely fascinating to me. As far as
protocols go, I have a basic understanding of TCP, UDP, IPv4 and IPv6,
DHCP, ARP, RARP,
OSPF,
and a couple others. The idea of participating in a proyect for the
FSF really excites me as it would be my first chance to contribute and
learn from such an opportunity ever since I began to use a GNU/Linux OS
for all of my personal programming. Hence I hope to be able to have a
chance to make a contribution. By the way, I must admit I am
completely ignorant as to how I must proceed to receive a chance to
become a part of the proyect. I could not find a more specific e-mail
address to contact someone who could instruct me further, so I recurred
to this e-mail address. I will await your reply, and once again,
thanks for taking the time to read my e-mail.
with greetings from Mexico,
Fabian Marin
