Hi,
The CVS update by Han-Wen from yesterday night solved the
basic problems with the pdftex output format, now it is
possible to run
lilypond -fpdftex file.ly
pdftex file.pdftex
at least for simpler pieces of music.
However, it just took me a couple of minutes to find
examples of bugs:
- For one of my files, Lilypond died with:
Backtrace:
In unknown file:
?: 0* [pdftex-output-expression (placebox # # #) #<output:
wesstromI.pdftex 3>]
?: 1* [display ...

- For another file, I did get a .pdf file but Acrobat
complained on one of the pages, first with
"There was an error processing a page. Too few operands."
then a second warning with
"An unrecognized token '-8.29750640731569e-4' was found."
I could try to find a small example where this happens
if this information isn't enough.
I'll try to add a corresponding pdflatex option to
lilypond-book that runs lilypond -fpdftex on the
music to be included in TeX form and an additional
epstopdf on the music to be included with \includegraphics.
/Mats
