this is the same symptom as what Mats' described, errors when there
aren't enough newlines at the end of the file (are you sure adding
returns doesn't help??). Replace lily/source-file.cc with the one from
1.6.9, and you should be fine. Better yet: upgrade (or convince the
Fink maintainer) to upgrade to 1.6.9
