Thanks for checking this out for me at your end.
The missing noteheads was exactly what I meant. If I comment out the
\property Voice.DynamicLineSpanner \set #'padding = #2
line, then everything displays/prints out normally (except that the
crescendo hairpin needs to be moved down).
I'll see if Ferenc has a more recent Debian Woody version available for
download as it sound like that may fix the problem. Which version of
LilyPond are you running?
