The problem is that Notepad adds a file suffix .txt to your file if you 
don't watch out.
I'm sure that your file is called test.ly.txt at the moment. If you just 
rename it to test.ly,
it should work. The trick in Notepad is to specify "Any file" as format, 
if I remember correctly.
