While I can wait for the jazz articulations, I do feel strongly enough
about this to actually pay money for a chord system that is decoupled
from notes.
I'd really have to ask: WHO actually has a need for the pitches
represenation of chords? Is there someone who actually uses this
feature? While it may be justified (merely from a programming
perspective) to tie symbols to notes to ensure consistency (even
though none exists), I'd really be amazed if anyone actually has a
need to hear or typeset block chords, if for no other reason than to
print a list of chords. Because in ACTUAL MUSIC, no one ever uses,
typesets, or otherwise has anything to do with those block chords.
