AFAICT it now works on my Debian sid system.  The script finished 
normally.  I have been building from CVS and they both report:

address@hidden:~/music/tcb$ lilypond --ps egmonttubaI.ly
GNU LilyPond 2.7.27
...


Thanks!!  This seems to be a great improvement over autopackage.
