Nitpick: 11.4.3 is "Changing horizontal spacing"; this confused me for a 
minute while I tried to find this example inside 11.4.1 Horizontal

Thanks, fixed.  When I was investigating this earlier, I forgot to 
restrict the line-width (as is done in the manual for this example).

For now I've simply removed the duplicate example.  If somebody sends me 
an example of the problem, I'll add it to that page.
