Re: Wrong abbreviation - decr.

I looked in the two notation handbooks I have in my
book shelf:

- Essential Dictionary if Music Notation (Alfred Publishing),
- "Noter" by B. Tyboni (in Swedish, but fairly authoritative
  as far as I can judge)
and both of them use "decresc." as the abbreviation for
decrescendo (even though both also mention "dim."
as the main alternative. I agree with Zoltán that "decresc."
looks better than "decr.", even though I'm sure you can find
both in printed music.
