OK, perhaps I should qualify that statement: they're not shown if the
glissando ends on the first note following the line break (as is the
case in the bug snippet).

The example which you're referring to uses an invisible note in a
different voice after the line break to force visibility of the
glissando; the glissando end point isn't at moment 0.
