The stencils created for the HarmonicParenthesesItem grob (angle brackets
for tablature) can be problematic for some users, as shown in this thread:

For these stencils, glyph lookups are performed for deprecated Unicode
characters, U+2329 and U+232A; these characters are not found in very many
fonts, and for some fonts, these characters don't look very nice.

A long term solution would be to "draw" these angle brackets using
LilyPond's native stencil routines.  This way, the angle brackets will
render the same across different platforms.
