I can't use LilyPond 2.13.39 [Scorekl.ly] By using Lilypond 2.13.4 and lower I don't have problems. By using Lilypond 2.13.5 and higher I get the next error. By returning to Lilypond 2.13.4 trhe problem is over. What has been changed in the conversion to pdf. from Lilypond 2.13.4 to 2.13.5 and later? What can I do? I hope you can help me. My OS is openSUSE 11.3. Error Opmaakuitvoer naar `Scorekl.ps'... Converteren naar `./Scorekl.pdf'... `gs -q -dSAFER -dDEVICEWIDTHPOINTS=595.28 -dDEVICEHEIGHTPOINTS=841.89 -dCompatibilityLevel=1.4 -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -r1200 -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile="./Scorekl.pdf" -c .setpdfwrite -f "Scorekl.ps"' gefaald (256) fout: gefaalde bestanden: "Scorekl.ly" LilyPond [Scorekl.ly] stopte met foutcode 1.
Jacques has reported this on a variety of occasions, and we/I have always replied with - "this looks like the error you get when the pdf is already open - can you confirm that it's not?" or something like this. We also had Orm Finnendahl report the same problem. I think we need to look into the problem a little more, if it's preventing users getting output.
If I run Lily twice on the same file and don't close the file on Adobe Reader (on Windows Vista), I get this error:
Converting to `./KeyVoice.pdf'...`gs -q -dDEVICEWIDTHPOINTS#595.28 -dDEVICEHEIGHTPOINTS#841.89 -dCompatibilityLevel#1.4 -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -r1200 -sDEVICE#pdfwrite -sOutputFile#"./KeyVoice.pdf" -c .setpdfwrite -f "KeyVoice.ps"' failed (1)
error: failed files: "dir\\KeyVoice.ly"I assume this is a GhostScript error? Key thing - I seem to get an error code of 1 - "failed (1)", whereas Jacques seems to get 256. I've tried to find what the Ghostscript errors mean, but all I can find is that they are supposed to be negative numbers.
The other slightly odd thing is that I get the full filename, including directory string after "error: failed files: " (I've deleted the directory details) whereas Jacques only shows the filename of the file.
