Yes, that's fine.
It passes make but when I run make check, I get a lot of compilation problems:

Hehe, the title of this bug and patch is: "suppress output for expected warnings". This is one example of an expected warning that will be correctly suppressed, so that only unexpected warnings show up and are better visible.
Ideally, a working build should not print out any warnings/errors, so that any warning/error is an indication of a problem...
