It is reported that 2.15.23 works on Lion, using some work provided by a
user.

If this doesn't work for you, you can always install ubuntu on a
virtualBox and run lilypond in Ubuntu (or some other linux).

I wish I had better news for you than this.  We are short on developers
for OSX.
