If i were you, i'd try contacting people who reported them (reported
at bug-lilypond, not added to the tracker). Unfortunately it's not
always possible.

That's very bad (and it was me who pushed this patch - oops...).
My opinion is: patches that don't contain sufficient description (this
may or may not include a regression test) should not be accepted.
