thank you, Xavier, for pointing to these seemingly unanswered bug reports!

I cannot tell if something special happened on this 14th of December with
any possibly involved systems like google, nabble or others.

I've done some research:

- for DR's question see

in certain cases when posting to several lists answers only go to one list
and this might not be the intended on.

the answers may not always be satisfying but at least they are answers!
