| Hi
|
| I tried the m4-1.5.89a.31-d9538d.tar.bz2.
|
| All checks successful.
|
| So its been fixed. Hope you guys may release the m4-1.5 soon.

Glad to hear. Actually, there won't be m4 1.5 (what was once promised
several years ago to be released as 1.5 has been so unstable with so many
changes that it still hasn't been released, and is now slated to be named
2.0; to avoid confusion with list archives, and to guarantee increasing
release numbers, the snapshot you tried will become m4 1.6). On the other
hand, since m4 1.6 is taking longer than I expected (for example, both
bison and autoconf have to have a release prior to m4 1.6, in order for
the latest stable version of each to interact nicely), I will probably end
up releasing m4 1.4.12 with only the portability fixes that have been so
frequently reported on this list (but not the huge speedups that 1.6
provides).
