for practical purposes, SVr4 curses == Solaris curses (because it's on
the most widely-available platform). When X/Open's documentation is
vague (more often than not), I do comparison tests on Solaris and/or SCO
to see how it was originally implemented. (This is not to say that it
always has to behave just-like-Solaris, as in the core dumps that Neil
Zanella produced recently, but differences should be improvements ;-)
