not yet (I did build lynx with this, but didn't see any problems). But it
was a rather complicated patch, and even though I worked through the steps
carefully, it's possible that I missed something. (I'll have followup work
to the configure script to build the experimental code with glibc 2.1.3,
but did test-compile/run the code with/without the wide-character stuff).

there shouldn't be. Most of the change was defining macros, and in places
using temporary variables to build up the parameters for the macros.
