Color support on Mac OS X 10.1

Hi,

I've been using ncurses for quite a while now only on
Linux and it has worked just fine. You've done a
wonderful job!

More recently though, I've decided to experiment with
an apple machine under Mac OS X 10.1 Operating System
and have been trying to port an application developed
for Linux to Mac OS X. Well, the compilation phase was
fine, but when it came to execute the program, I
received a message stating that colors were not
supported for that terminal, which is the default
terminal for Mac OS X.

Would you guys happen to know what I must do in order
to have colors supported for ncurses in Mac OS X?

I've downloaded the ncurses source package, compiled
it and when I ran the tests/ncurses applications and
chose the colors test therein, I received the same
error message stating the colors were not supported
for that terminal.
