I'll look into it when I get a chance. It might be specific to the Debian
package, or it might be something that I can reproduce with other glibc
2.3.x's. I have a recent Debian - which I happen to be be using for
something that I don't want to modify the configuration right now - and
a couple of other places to test. If I can get it to break, that's a
good starting point.
