ACS_... & forms

I'm currently generating forms with 'labels' (fields with no O_ACTIVE) and 
some real fields (which I assume is ok), and I'm setting the value of these 
using set_field_buffer..

The problem is - I'd like to use the ACS_HLINE, ACS_VLINE 'characters' for 
drawing boxes around things within these labels.

Anyone got any ideas as to how I could do this ?

(I don't really want to just draw to the screen because of the way the form is 
read in from a description file)
