I don't see any request that I made, only a proper bug report, with
patch and that has been tested on the platforms that it touches to
which you retorted in a rude manner (IMHO). Care to be a bit more
specific as to which FAQ's I should read?
frankly, your so-called bug report has been asked several times,
each time apparently less from the aspect of solving a technical
problem (which appears to be the case here), than playing politics.
Start with the ncurses faq, with the discussion of --disable-overwrite,
and keep in mind that the advice given there applies also to you.
