Hello,
Ncurses-5.5-20060401 (last Saturday patch). Some useless (and
harmless) data is appended to a compiled terminfo entry which is use=d
by another entry, if the later has custom extended or commented out
capabilities.
Example test.src attached, defining 3 entries:
- test1 is a clean reference
- test2 is identical, or rather should be
- test3 uses test2 and adds AX extended bolean
Compile with "tic -x test.src", and "less ~/.terminfo/t/test?" shows
that test2 is not identical to test1 as expected, but has appended data.
The same happens with "tic -a". The effect is cumulative.
Bye! Alain.
