It would be extremely helpful if you (for example) posted some screenshots, 
how the corrupted window looks like. Also, it would be useful to know on 
which terminals you see the corruption (xterm ? rxvt ? gnome-terminal ? ...). 
Or does it happen on any terminal ? 
It is also important to see which patches you've applied to your ncurses 
library (if you didn't do that yourself, you can for example have a look at 
changelog if you use rpm package, or check out some NEWS file that comes with 
your distribution)

Actually, I've had similar problem (display corruption in certain application) 
that was related to magic-cookie support in ncurses. But without having the 
information mentioned above, one can hardly see where is the problem
