still no 1.08 (am juggling several programs), but I updated my development
version for this issue, and put a copy of ongoing code where it can be
downloaded from my ncurses page.

(I overlooked the __TANDEM fix since I'd mis-recalled it as also being against
tack - will be in the next ncurses patch).
