but ... it's just that Define of _XOPEN_SOURCE, if I compare the configure
script of ncurses 5.7 and 5.9 I find in 5.7:

solaris*) #(vi
        CPPFLAGS="$CPPFLAGS -D__EXTENSIONS__"
        ;;

whereas in 5.9 it looks like this:

solaris2.1[0-9]) #(vi
        cf_xopen_source="-D__EXTENSIONS__ -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=$cf_XOPEN_SOURCE"
        ;;

but that change in ncurses breaks the build ... well, right, it breaks
it for me.
