Yup it was. VTE still does not support certain "other modes" than the default, e.g. reverse linewrap. However, the default mode I believe behaves exactly the same way as xterm. Let us know if it doesn't.

In particular, the bug illustrated with screenshots at http://invisible-island.net/vttest/vttest-wrap.html#WRAP-VTE is long gone now - could you please update your page?
