[PATCH 00/19] ncurses changes proposed vs. 20231021

Hi folks,

This week's work was mostly on non-man-page documentation.  Please find
attached before-and-after diffs of "./configure --help" output,
"./configure" output (with the options that I happen to be using; as
noted recently, there are many, and the combinatorial implications
daunting), and diffs of the man pages (using UTF-8 output and SGR escape
sequences, so view it with "less -R" or similar).
