Subject: | XTerm: Preventing HIDDEN_CHAR in Printed Output |

Hello, all.Has nobody else noticed the 0xFFFF (unassigned Unicode U+FFFF) characters scattered about XTerm's print-everything output? You might not see these characters in a shell, but $EDITOR (hex or otherwise) is liable to show them in between EVERY character. This is not only annoying but also causes problems... though perhaps the problem is with my setup? I run XTerm(388) with TERM=xterm-256color. Please let me know what can be done.
Otherwise, I have attached a small patch that attempts to address the issue. Thank you!
