Hello,
I am taking another look at evolving implementation details also according to
the software release of the “GNU Readline library” (version 8.2 from
2022-09-26).
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-readline/2022-09/msg00010.html
A corresponding difference display indicates that some functions were added.
Example:
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/readline.git/commit/readline.h?id=f7a382fd09319b20ef4435b9b554183b605468c1
* rl_fetch_history
* rl_trim_arg_from_keyseq
* rl_set_timeout
* rl_timeout_remaining
Would you like to improve and extend any descriptions which will help to take
consequences for the handling of compatibility according to the provided
application binary interface better into account?
How much will code reviewers and software maintainers reconsider and adapt
package requirement specifications accordingly?
Regards,
Markus
