Another possible name would be COMPILERFLAGS
I like it.
Second, is this just for C and C++? I think the name COMPILERFLAGS
would be confusing if it only applies to C and C++, and there are very
few flags that are relativley standard across several compilers.
Using COMPILERFLAGS for Java or Python would be weird, and cause
conflicts I think. Maybe name it CCFLAGS?
