By default, TeX typesets pages for printing in an 8.5 by 11 inch
format. However, you can direct TeX to typeset a document in a 7 by
9.25 inch format that is suitable for bound books by inserting the
following command on a line by itself at the beginning of the Texinfo
file, before the title page:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
@smallbook
This is not optimal. It should rather read something like this:
... before the @copying block or the title page (whatever comes
first).
I think I've fixed texinfo.tex (new version on prep) so that you don't
have to say @smallbook (or whatever) before @copying. (Although
personally I feel that @smallbook and the like should never be in the
Texinfo source, anyway.)
Let me know if you find problems.
Thanks,
karl
