Thanks much.  So (just checking) it's ok to escape & as &amp;, < as
&lt;, and so on in XML CDATA sections?  In other words, CDATA is not
"verbatim" in the TeX/Texinfo sense?

    BTW, what is the best way to submit patches?

Email to bug-texinfo is good.
