I see the problem with leftover files.
Care would have to be taken in case something like
'texi2any file.texi -o . --html' when the output directory contains
other files. Somebody might even use the -o option incorrectly
by mistake, referring to a directory containing non-manual files.
Maybe texi2any could warn about any extra HTML files that are present
in the directory, if they were not output files.
