Hi there,

Further to my original message, I have tested textutils 1.22 and 2.0
under Linux and Solaris. The only combination which fails is v2.0 with
Linux.

TextUtils OS Status
1.22 Linux 2.2.14 (Mandrake 7.2, based on Red Hat 7.0) Working
2.0 Linux 2.2.14 (Mandrake 7.2, based on Red Hat 7.0) Broken
2.0 Linux 2.2.3 (Debian 2.0) Working
2.0 Solaris 2.7 (SunOS 5.7) sun4u Working

I only thought to test it on various version/OS combinations when I
discovered that the Solaris sort did not exhibit the same behaviour.

Does this indicate that it might be something to do with the locale
handling, i.e. it could be a problem with the Mandrake locale programs?
