Sort uses -d by default?

I am either going mad, or sort in Textutils 2.0e works differently than
sort in Textutils 2.0a.

the sort in 2.0e seems to default with the -d flag on, and i cannot find
a way to get around this. even -i does not override this setting. is
there any way around this?

example:

unsorted list:
A-BUGG602
2HOT4YOU849
A.982
AA852
AAAAAAAAA925
ABBY246
ACER270

sort 2.0a:
2HOT4YOU849
A-BUGG602
A.982
AA852
AAAAAAAAA925
ABBY246
ACER270

sort 2.0e:
2HOT4YOU849
A.982
AA852
AAAAAAAAA925
ABBY246
A-BUGG602
ACER270
