Hi --

        Probably not the best subject: line in the world - the problem is not
        that errors happen during a 'rip' but that the rip never starts.

moe.2433-> vcdxrip --cdrom-device=/dev/rsr1c
**ERROR: unexcected descriptor type

        I have tried to extract the data from both a VCD and a SVCD and
        get the same error.

        This used to work with 'vcdrip' in the 0.6.x version.  It also used
        to work with the 0.7.9 release + my diffs for BSD/OS support.    

        It is unclear if the problem is BSD/OS specific - have you tried 
        rip'ing a VCD/SVCD recently?  

        Did something break in the rip logic I wonder...
