No, the argument to the man program is the name of the executable.
Whether the NAME section of the man page should document the pretty name
or the executable name is debatable, but it's clear that the argument to
"man" is the same string you run on the command line.

Apparently "man" is simply case-insensitive -- for example, "man lS"
brings up the ls(1) man page.

Again, the argument to "man" is the name of the executable, not the full name
of the program.  It's "man emacs", not "man GNU Emacs".  If man weren't
case-insensitive, it's "man Wget" that should result in an error.
