I have asked the savannah sysadmins to re-init the wget repository so I
will be able to push the new version (for security reasons,
nonFastForwarding is not allowed).

For now, we can play with the git repository here:

http://it.gnu.org/~gscrivano/wget

After a clone now I have:

$ git clone http://it.gnu.org/~gscrivano/wget
$ du -s --si wget/.git/
8,7M    wget/.git/
