So you are reporting that you get all pages linked from
http://www.johnshinnick.com/index.html but
not from eg. http://www.johnshinnick.com/TravelsOfShin.html ?
You are specifying -l 0, so it should be doign an infinite recursion.
That behavior is wrong. You could also try -l inf to see if there is any
difference.

Can you provide the output of running wget --version on each of them?
