Actually, my point is that your initial question isn't very clear, and
not just because you chose to write in a peculiar dialect of English.
Indeed, I seem to have not properly understood it.

Given your reply above, it seems that you expect that if --recursive is
specified, then all links on all pages will be followed, including those
to other hosts.  And you expect this because the paragraph describing
--recursive doesn't specifically say that it does not by default.

I suspect that in a lot of cases, following *all* links from a page
would lead to downloading half of the Web, because pages link to pages
link to pages...
