Ya, this bug is fixed upstream since a while: https://github.com/libwww-perl/HTTP-Daemon/issues/21.

Just for the record:
- the patch just touches a single line of perl code.
- it took since 2011 to fix it (report is from 2011-10-01).

Some "stable" OSes still won't upgrade... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
