Did you already check the man page for --cut-dirs ?

Hi, Tim answer is a little rude. Clearer and more complete explanation: you don't understand what "noparent" is for. It means that Wget won't download objects that are above the one you put on the command line. It doesn't deal with the re-creation of the domain and directory structure. Wget always try to create this one, and as Tim wrote, "--cut-dirs" enable to shorten the numbers of these ones that will be created.

This is a much better explanation than mine overly short comment :-).

Please excuse my brevity in the previous answer - I really didn't meant to be rude. Thanks for pointing out the feeling/reception on your side. It will help me to improve my answers (hopefully) !

Regards, Tim
