I'm a new linux user and I've just installed xboard from the file xboard-4.2.7.tar.gz in my home directory, as told in FAQ. 4 new folders are created (bin, man, share and xboard-4.2.7) and under bin and xboard-4.2.7
there are executable xboard files. I tried to run both of them by running console on these folders and typing ./xboard; but I got the message: " xboard: no fonts match pattern -*-helvetica-bold-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" i have no helvetica font installed on my system. can you send me? or what should i do? how can i change the default font setting?
